Obsidian Fleet Honors

Posted on Mon Jan 16th, 2006 @ 7:15pm by Captain Tal Feryn

Moment ago I was informed of the final decisions regarding the yearly Obsidian Fleet awards. I want to let all of you know how proud I am of you guys and everyone who's worked so hard on the simm. The Nimitz was in the running for Obsidian Fleet Simm of the Year, though the award was won by SS Walkabout. Either way, this speaks volumes of the hard work everyone has put in!

Next, I'd like to give Jermaine a pat on the back. Though he didn't know about, several of us pitched in to nominate him for William Riker XO of the Year. He was in the running for quite some time, but eventually, the award was won by Commander Kassha Nitai of Starbase 60. Jermaine, you've done some amazing work on the Nimitz and I want to recognize you for that. You're an invaluable member of this awesome crew.

Finally, I was shocked and amazed to find out that I have been named the James T. Kirk CO of the Year by Obsidian Fleet. Our TFCO, Vice-Admiral Farrel, put my name into the mix and I was voted the CO of the Year by a council of people from Obsidian Fleet. I'm speechless at this honor and have to thank all of you for being the best crew in the fleet and making this the best simming experience I've ever had!
