Marine Detachment Changes

Per Major General Martin Sawyer, Obsidian Fleet's Corps Director, there is a now a clearer outline of the Marine structure throughout the fleet and on starships.

Effectively immediately, the Marine Detachment (officially a platoon) will consist of three squads: Command Squad, Red Squad, and Blue Squad. Command Squad will include the Marine CO, the First Sergeant, and ten additional Marines. The Red Squad will be run by the Marine XO and will be assisted by a Senior Sergeant and will include ten Marines. Finally, the Blue Squad will be run by the Marine 2nd XO and be assisted by another Senior Sergeant, also including ten more Marines. All Marines within a squad will report to their squad leader and the squad leaders will report to the Marine CO. If there are any questions about this, please contact me.

To summarize, the Nimitz will now carry a Marine compliment of 36. (This change in the Marine compliment is currently moving through R&D and should be made official by either the end of this month or next month.) The Open Positions List has been changed to reflect this change.
