Physical Description Andrew is a fairly good looking caucasian guy. Although his ego causes him to believe that he is better looking than he really is. Andrew has the athletic build of a man who grew up working for a living. His blond hair is longer than the regular Starfleet standards that most humans follow, but he likes to think of it more as his way of being unique among the masses. Andrew's green eyes are considered by him to be his best feature and often draw others' attention to them before anything else. They have a special warmth and brightness to them when he is relaxed that seems to contradict the cool intensity in them when he is under pressure or concentrating. Just above his right eyebrow is a small scar received when he was young that runs parallel to the eyebrow and is barely noticeable unless someone were to look closely. When he is amused or anticipating something exciting happening he has a roguish half-cocked smile that is sometimes accompanied by a wink. His smile has a mischievous look that often gives away his joking attitude before he even speaks.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Confident and cocky. Andrew is a flyboy and rogue at heart. He is loyal to those who earn his respect and has a weak spot for those who cannot help themselves. He has an extroverted personality and tends to rely on instincts and impulses when under pressure, rather than thinking things through ahead of time.

While not necessarily a ladies man, Andrew loves to flirt with the opposite sex. However, for as smooth as he may think he is in his head, he has a long way to go when it comes to understanding women. Yet, despite his failings, he keeps on looking for his next ex-girlfriend.

Not one to let life get him down. He is optimistic and carefree, valuing freedom more than anything else in his life. He has an easy going laid back attitude and often tries to lighten the mood wherever he is while confronting every situation seemingly without effort. Doing things at his own pace in a form of chaotic order. This is personified in his disorganized organization of a mess in his private quarters, which helps to fuel his imagination. Due to his carefree nature, he many times uses what he considers humor to relieve tension in times of crisis, which has given him the reputation of being an overconfident smart alec who needs to learn to take life more seriously. Especially, by those who like to do things by the book.

Andrew has a streak of fearless rebellion in him that can be seen in his eyes when he is wound up about something. While he doesn't mind taking orders, he likes to do things his way. It is the creative process of discovering his own way of doing things that allows him to thrive in any environment. This is exemplified by his aversion to using what he calls "technobabble" in explaining or listening to situations. Rather he enjoys simple creative responses and the reactions they bring out in his fellow officers.

He tends to treat people with respect most of the time. However, he has a big brother syndrome which many times results in over-protectiveness and unrelenting teasing to those he adopts as a surrogate family. This sense of family tends to cause him to stick his nose in other peoples' business as he tries to help them whether they want his help or not.

Above all else, he despises watching people with power abuse that power at the expense of the little guy. This has caused him trouble in the past with superior officers and has led him to a general problem trusting in those who have power. However this is something he tries to keep buried within himself.

Originally, he went by the callsign of "Angel" due to the the number of times he had gotten himself in dangerous situations and come out unscratched. Unfortunately, many of his fighters were not as lucky. The other pilots used to tell him that he must have had a Guardian Angel riding shotgun with him all the time. Upon being promoted to the position of Fighter Element Leader aboard the USS Nimitz his callsign was changed to "Archangel" by his old friend and Assistant Fighter Element Leader, Kari "Siren" Kelly, as a sign of his promotion and the fact that she didn't like taking orders from just an ordinary Angel.
Strengths & Weaknesses Andrew's greatest strength lies in his piloting skills. Due to his time and experience with different types of craft, there are very few craft that he cannot fly or figure out how to fly.

Andrew has an uncanny natural ability to think quickly on his feet and make it look easy. A talent learned and nurtured while he was in his father's air and space show. His confidence in his abilities and himself give him the benefit of rarely second guessing his actions. At least not until the moment of hindsight being 20/20. To which his general reaction is usually along the lines of whatever happened, happened. We can't change the past, we can only move forward and try not to make the same mistakes again.

He does have an issue with authority, which is based on a trust and respect issue of his own. In his mind respect has to be earned regardless of who a person may be. He has no problem speaking his mind when he disagrees with someone, regardless of their rank or position. This is especially true when he feels someone is being abused by someone with more power. He loves taking chances and pushing limits. While the consequences may outweigh the benefits, he has learned to deal with his mistakes without dwelling on them too long and move on.

Andrew can also seem rash and impulsive at times, taking unnecessary risks when the situation doesn't need it. He has a classic addictive personality and is constantly looking for that next exciting moment in life, which will once in a while cause him to bend/break rules for his own desires. This has led him to start a lot of projects and interests only to get bored and never finish them. He lives a "Jack of all trades, master of none" type of existence. While extremely perceptive and intense when he wants to be, he can loose focus while doing mundane jobs and start daydreaming or just plain become distracted by something shiny as he tries to keep life interesting.

Andrew also has the unfortunate problem of seeming to have a one track mind when he is wound up. While he may be aware of everything else going on, he often develops a drive to see one thing and one thing only through to the end. This causes him to sometimes neglect other things that might be more important at the time.
Ambitions While Andrew enjoys his time and experiences in Starfleet, he plans to one day return to Earth and take over his father's air and space show. In the interim though, he wants to travel the galaxy and explore the unknown while finding out a little more about himself along the way.
Hobbies & Interests Andrew's past has given him a unique understanding for 20th century Earth history and especially that of the aviation heroes of that era. As a child his father gave him a number of books relating to the history of Aviation to help him understand the meaning behind the air and space show. These books led him to study many other events that happened in that time period while learning all he could about the pilots that influenced the evolution of flight and eventually space flight. The dogfighting of this time period has become a powerful influence in his own piloting skills as he has studied many of the maneuvers invented and implemented by the Aces of the World Wars as well as develop some of his own.

His upbringing has given him a certain fondness and respect for mechanics, engineers, and inventors. When bored he regularly lurks around the sections of the ship that these individuals work in, complimenting them on how well they are doing their jobs while asking questions about what they are doing in his attempt to help out where he can. While he is no expert when it comes to making repairs he does know his way around a toolbox and can make general repairs on most craft.

Due to his upbringing and interest in aviation, Andrew has spent a number of hours building models of some of his favorite air and spacecraft. His favorite, the F-15 Eagle, sits on the corner of his desk and often tempts him to play with it like a toy.

As a child, Andrew had been fascinated by the stories and old holovideos of King Arthur, Robin Hood, The Three Musketeers, Wong Fei Hung, Indiana Jones, and others. The idea of being a hero and going on adventures was a concept he took to heart. These holovids eventually led him to indulge in other types of motion pictures from the 20th and 21st centuries. As a result, he has obtained an old movie projector with which he spends his time watching and sharing this timeless form of entertainment with whoever he can convince or force into joining him.

As a child his mother forced him to learn an instrument as part of his growth into a well-rounded individual. As such, Andrew chose the guitar. While knowing quite a bit about playing it he never really developed a talent for it. However he does know a couple of songs very well which he uses to impress people with when he has to. Other than those few songs though, Andrew is a relative amateur on the instrument. Still he does practice with it on occasion as a way to relax.

Andrew has developed a number of aviation holoprograms. One of which is based on his father's air and space show, which he runs quite periodically for enjoyment as well as to keep his skills sharp. This program has been adapted a number of times to recreate a number of challenges such as a dogfights against the Red Baron and other aviation Aces or a number of races with various craft. Within this program also resides a head to head aerial combat program in which different craft from the past can be used in dogfights.

Thanks to his time spent with Kari Kelly, Andrew has developed a love of ice skating and in particular impromptu games of pond hockey. While he is has turned into a decent skater, no one would ever mistake him for a professional. However, he does find gliding along the ice relaxing and often does so to clear his head.

More than anything, Andrew likes to try to make those he considers important to him happy. Whether this means taking them out to do something he considers fun or just sitting down and talking with them it doesn't matter. He is optimistic and tries to rub that optimism off on anyone he feels needs it.

Karaoke. Something about getting up in front of a group of people after a few drinks and singing songs appeals to him. It was a habit picked up during his time at the academy that has carried through to the present. Knowing him means that sooner or later he will get a person up onstage to sing. Good or bad, it always ends up being a good time.

Finally, Andrew loves to try new things. He has a belief that new experiences help him get a better view of life by having more options to weigh each experience against. And while some things may or may not be enjoyable, he tries not to regret anything he has done. For if he had, he would never had known whether it would have been worth it or not.

Personal History Born on Earth in 2353 to Thomas and Jennifer Foxwell. Andrew grew up on the road traveling the Earth in his father's air and space show. Thomas opened the show due to his enjoyment of aviation history, the opportunity to educate the people of Earth, and his love of performing. The show included everything from the early bi-planes of the 20th century up to some of the more modern starfighters of recent years in aerial stunts designed to amaze and astound the masses while giving them an appreciation for how far the world of flight had come.

Growing up on the road left Andrew with few friends of his own age. His mother spent much of her time educating him in the basics that other children were receiving in school, while his father taught him life lessons and an appreciation for history and mechanical engineering. Andrew spent a large amount of his youth learning how to build and repair air and space craft with his father. This experience gave him a unique appreciation for the men and women who kept things working. However, Andrew's education didn't end there. Often referred to as the kid, many of the pilots and mechanics of the show took Andrew under their wings as if he was a little brother and taught him some of the less reputable sides of life much to the chagrin of his mother.

At the age of 14, Andrew began his training as a pilot and soon became a performer in the show. Over the next 6 years Andrew would become one of the better pilots in the show. His favorite craft to fly being the F-15 Eagle of 20th Century United States of America fame. As his experience grew so did his recklessness with his stunts often resulting in his father grounding him as a lesson to always keep his edge and never get too comfortable in the cockpit.

With the threat of the Dominion and war on the Horizon, Andrew made the difficult decision to join Starfleet. Originally, he had planned to join the marine corps as a fighter pilot, utilizing the skills he had grown up with, but at his parents' request he applied for the Academy instead. They believed that an education would take him further in life than just following in his father's footsteps as another Marine.

In 2373 Andrew entered the Academy as one of the older students in his class. Life at the Academy was quite different for Andrew. He soon found his role reversed from the days of his youth as he was now looked up to as the big brother to the younger students. This seemed to bring with it the added responsibility of being a leader, something he was completely unfamiliar with. Yet, despite his unwanted role, Andrew easily transitioned into the position due to his easy going attitude. This also led him to take a broad spectrum of classes, including command, that he hadn't planned on taking at the urging of one of his instructors and a certain groundskeeper. Regardless of his training, Andrew still had the itch for flying and as his Academy years continued he found himself studying the Fighter Ops and CONN as his primary focus.

During his third year at the Academy in 2375, Andrew received his first bitter taste of war while serving as an acting Fighter Pilot aboard the Akira class USS Masamune of the 3rd fleet during the Breen Raid on San Francisco. As the battle raged on, Andrew found himself face to face with death for the first real time in his life. While the air and space show had it's dangers, he had always felt a sense of security and comfort there. However, having someone shooting at him changed his perspective of what the men and women he had romanticized about from the past greatly. As the battle raged on, he found himself frightened and unsure about his decision to join Starfleet for the first time. As the battle continued on, a number of Breen fighters managed to break through Earth's defenses and attack San Francisco. Andrew was in one of the fighter groups sent in pursuit. Before the battle was over, Andrew had killed his first sentient being and lost the first of what would be many fighters while crash landing in San Francisco Bay. It became one of the most significant events of his life, as his innocence was now completely lost.

Upon graduation he was assigned as a flight officer to the Norway class ship USS Stockholm at his request. The events of the Raid on San Francisco still fresh in his mind. His stay would be a short one. During a delicate diplomatic mission Andrew lost his temper with one of the delegates who was bragging about how he gained his power and position by stepping on those poorer and weaker than he was while ordering around the Starfleet staff as if they were his servants. Andrew allowed himself to let the delegate provoke him and eventually struck the diplomat and a fellow officer, injuring the delegate bad enough to send him to sickbay. Fortunately, the Federation diplomat was able to smooth things over, but Andrew would soon find himself in a Federation prison for the next few weeks awaiting his fate. Only the recommendations of the Stockholm's senior staff and chief diplomat along with the eventual discovery of a plot to discredit the Federation managed to save his career.

Andrew soon found himself re-assigned to another Akira class Vessel, the USS Tizona, where he would be reunited with his best friend from the Academy, Kari Kelly. Andrew found himself grow as person and become more than just a fighter pilot as his experiences on the ship molded him into the person he would become. Andrew spent a large amount of his time aboard the Tizona working on how to incorporate his experiences in his father's show into practicality. It was during this time that he finally came to terms with his choice to join Starfleet, thus letting go of his past and accepting his destiny as a fighter pilot for the first time.

For nearly two years Andrew served aboard the USS Tizona and for the first time in his life, he experienced life outside of the paradise that was Earth. Things that seemed trivial for the better traveled of the galaxy brought with them a new and wonderful experience for Andrew. For the first time in his life, Andrew discovered how big the universe really was. However, with the marriage and departure of his best friend Kari Kelly, Andrew soon transferred off of the Tizona in an attempt to escape the pain he felt.

In 2380 Andrew transferred to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards above Mars as an Assistant Fighter Element Leader and Test Pilot. Andrew's upbringing, reputation, and experience ended up being the perfect qualifications for him as he was able to push the many different types of starships from shuttles to fighters to runabouts to Sovereigns to their limits in order for the designers and engineers to gather much needed data. His time at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards was a fortunate post for Andrew as he was able to frequent his family and friends on Earth on a regular basis and on occasion perform in his father's show while testing the newest in flight technology. A win-win situation as far as he was concerned. Still, the urge to get out into the galaxy once again and explore called to him, prompting him to request the position of Fighter Pilot Element Leader aboard the USS Nimitz.

Andrew Foxwell was transferred from Utopia Planitia to the Nimitz as the new Fighter Element Leader. Enroute to the USS Nimitz with his team, Foxwell took the opportunity to nickname his small team "The Fighting Falcons" after Admiral William Reardon's former pilot callsign and design the wings and unit patch the unit would wear on their uniforms. With the first steps of his first department head position taken he awaited the moment in which he would step foot on his new home. The time, however, never came as Foxwell found himself with the rest of the Nimitz crew stranded on an unknown frozen moon. Unsure of where they were or what had happened as well as not knowing any of the crew around them, Foxwell and his team kept to themselves in one of the caves that the Nimitz crew had secured for shelter until Admiral Reardon met the aliens, known as the Qaric, responsible for the crew's abduction and finally returned them to the Nimitz. Unfortunately, the Nimitz was now three months from Federation Territory.

Upon finally boarding the Nimitz, one of Foxwell's first actions was to get approval to install a catapult system inside the Nimitz's lower shuttlebay. The request was met with the normal pros and cons of such an endeavor, but ultimately the senior staff and Admiral Reardon approved of the project. The result was a massive refit of the lower shuttlebay which would potentially be completed by the time they reached Federation space once again.

With his catapult project underway, Foxwell and his team worked with Strategic Operations Officer, LT Adria Desoro a former pilot herself, on setting up a station in Astrometrics to monitor all fighter operations. The Strat Ops Officer was also instrumental in aiding with the first shakedown of the fighters under Foxwell's command. While nothing of importance happened during the shakedown, it should be noted that the shakedown took place above the Vorinn homeworld, a hive minded species that would become allies with the wayward Nimitz.

The Nimitz left the Vorinn homeworld behind and came across a derelict vessel. The Fighting Falcons were put into action serving as aerospace superiority while getting up close scans of the alien vessel. During their first pass by the ship, Kari Kelly began feeling ill and eventually lost consciousness. She was quickly returned to the Nimitz where it is determined that she, like so many other members of the crew, has fallen victim to what was known in this quadrant of space as the "Sleeping Sickness". Foxwell was visibly shaken over concern for his wingmate and friend and quickly recruited Sara Carpenter out of Flight Control to become his new wingmate while Kari fought for her life in sickbay. Sara's initiation soon became a trial by fire as a Qaric cruiser appeared and attacked the Nimitz. The two fighters did what they could, but were outmatched by the larger ship. The Nimitz, meanwhile, had taken considerable damage and Reardon was forced to order a retreat, condemning one of the Nimitz away teams investigating the derelict ship to the mercy of the Qaric.

Having left the Qaric warship behind, the Nimitz took refuge at an out of the way starbase known by the inhabitants of the sector as "The Demon's Gateway". While the Nimitz underwent repairs, a number of away teams head to the station. One of the teams consisting of Orlando Taylor, Nadhir Ahkzouri, and Ibis Xeri search for information about the mysterious "Sleeping Sickness" which had affected so many of the crew, including Kari Kelly. They manage to make a deal with the interim doctor/pharmacist and manage to download all relevant information about the illness. Meanwhile, Andrew Foxwell and Amber Taltos beamed aboard to look for their own information about the illness. Needless to say, their mission was less than successful. What happened is known only between the two of them as no details about their mission have been disclosed.

With the repairs to the Nimitz nearly completed, the exception being the MVAM, the Nimitz received a distress signal from the Vorinn homeworld. They have been attacked by the Qaric...

The Nimitz races towards the Vorinn homeworld in an attempt to aid against the Qaric assault. The journey an intense mix of anxiety and preparation. Andrew spent his time in Sickbay at Kari's side in the hopes that she would wake up.

Finally, the Nimitz arrived. The Falcons were sent out on escort duty of the shuttle "Stetham" to scan the damage planet side. During the flight the Nimitz away teams were suddenly attacked by a few remaining Qaric. The Falcons change plans and head down to aid the ground teams when a pair of Qaric fighters intercepted them. Foxwell devised a plan to lead the fighters away from the shuttle while it pretended to head back to the Nimitz. Unfortunately the Qaric fighters were more interested in the shuttle and pursued it all the way back to the Nimitz where a miscommunication nearly casued a massive calamity that was only prevented by some fancy flying by the Stetham's pilot, Arveth Nogieren. Between the firepower of the Nimitz and the Falcons, the Qaric were defeated.

Shortly after the skirmish, a Qaric High Elder arrived on the Nimitz and explained that a warrior caste had broken from the main race and had stolen a biogenic weapon developed by the Vorinn. The Elder asked Reardon to aid her in destroying the weapon and the warrior caste once and for all. Reluctantly, and with the disapproval of a number of the crew, Reardon agrees to help in the interest of protecting the federation from a dangerous species.

Foxwell began work on an offensive plan of attack in which a small group of marines would be inserted into the Qaric battleship to rescue the crewmembers left behind from before and to destroy the weapon itself. Little did any of them know that the captured crew had escaped some time before and were retracing the Nimitz's steps in order to find them. Finding a nearby nebula the Nimitz set her trap. Disguising one of the shuttles as a Qaric vessel the fighters acted as if they were attacking it and then drew the Qaric into the nebula where the Nimitz was lying in wait. The idea being that the loss of sensors would allow the Nimitz to buy enough time for the insertion crew to do their job.

With the battle underway, the Falcons joined the Nimitz in the battle against the Qaric until the point in which Carpenter was running on stims and Foxwell was drifting off in Falcon One wherever his momentum would carry him. Suddenly, a bright burst of light exploded from the Qaric ship signaled the end of the battle. Captain Ted Branch, who lost his crew years before on the Qaric Ice Moon had detonated the Vorinn weapon in one last act of self sacrifice. The Qaric were defeated and the Nimitz with her crew limped back home.

The Nimitz returned to Earth to undergo repairs and a few changes. During the voyage home, Foxwell and Carpenter took it upon themselves to add pink dye to the air filtration units in the marine barracks as payback for the the images painted on their fighters. Once back, the pilots enjoyed an evening of beer, smokes, and storytelling with Admiral Reardon. All was quiet as the Nimitz underwent repairs which included repairs to the two Razors.

With a little free time on his hands, Foxwell visited Kari Kelly in the hospital where she was still under the influence of the sleeping sickness. Here he ran into Kari's younger sister, Katherine, and the two make up for lost time while looking to the future.

With the transfer of a number of crew, Foxwell took it upon himself to introduce himself to the new members before anything bad happened that would force him to meet them. Starting with the new Chief of Boat, Foxwell discussed his concerns over Timothy's lack of opening up to him to which the chief agreed to look in to it. Leaving the Nimitz, for personal issues (engineering threatened to kick him off the ship), Foxwell found himself wandering the corridors of McKinley Station where he met the new ship's counselor and after some playful banter of the bar type and its subsequent failure, managed to get a bite to eat with her and enjoy a little down time.

With the refit of the Nimitz nearly complete, Foxwell and Carpenter woke up on earth in the middle of a Marine training mission. Apparently the Marines caught onto their little prank and decided a little retribution was in order. The pilots were put through the Gauntlet as other teams of Marines took shots at them during a training exercise that seemed to be little too realistic at times as far as Foxwell was concerned. Eventually the cruelty of the Marine's own revenge was realized when Foxwell and his team discovered Timothy trapped in a well. Having rescued their wayward and far too trusting recruit, the pilots were treated to a barbecue at a nearby farm set up by the Marines as a reward for surviving the Gauntlet.

The Nimitz was soon called away to the Zarinn system when a Starfleet fighter was shot down. After the funeral, Foxwell managed to convince the USS Veracruz CAG, George Burning, to allow him to borrow one of their Broadswords for a recon mission. Burning was a personal hero of Foxwell's and was taught a few lessons from the old man. Little did anyone know, Foxwell had invited Counselor Eva Piccone to ride Rio. During the flight, they encountered a strange ship that they were unable to identify due to a large amount of interference being emitted from a nearby asteroid. By the time Foxwell got close enough to try visual ID, the mysterious ship had disappeared.

Foxwell returned to the Nimitz and volunteered to be a part of the away teams that were looking for information on the Zarinn Orbital station when he found himself knocked unconscious only to awake in a cell with Nogierin, Sirta, Jeq, and Marindez. The small group were taken before an enemy from the Nimitz's past and used for ransom. On their way back to their cells they managed to overpower their guards and meet up with Commander Taylor who had come looking for them with a pair of Klingons. Their escape made known the group took refuge in a small room to make a stand when Marines from the Nimitz showed up and stunned them.

Foxwell awoke on the Nimitz feeling sick from the stun he had received when word came that the Anara, a Defiant Class Starship recently captured by pirates and the source of many of the recent problems in the Zarinn system was to be receiving a shipment of tetraketalim and that the Veracruz was sending out it's fighters to intercept the shipment. Despite his hangover, Foxwell made his way to the Veracruz and joined the attack force. Unfortunately, the fighters were too late and the Anara escaped with its shipment. Having failed, Foxwell headed back to the Nimitz where the ship was preparing to leave Zarinn space, but not before enjoying a banquet and singing a little karaoke.

The crew of the Nimitz, still reeling from the resignation of Will Reardon, found out they had been assigned to a new ship with secrets and dangers none of them could imagine. Asked to return from his vacation on Earth while the Nimitz underwent its refit, Foxwell and Timothy Pryce join a number of Nimitz crewmembers aboard the experimental USS Sojourner and Andrew finds himself a date. The date goes better than Foxwell could have imagined as he and April McKinnon find themselves enjoying an evening of dancing and dinner aboard Cellis Station.

The Sojourner discovered a planet with a large duonetic field surrounding it. In the interest of exploration Foxwell piloted a shuttle down to the surface only to find that the duonetic field completely wiped out the shuttle's systems forcing Foxwell to make an emergency landing. With a little fancy flying and a lot of luck he managed to set the shuttle down in the middle of a primitive city. The warp core began to breach and the away team disembarked to find themselves being worshiped by the locals. Some fast thinking by Henry Tenricoun managed to minimize the damage, but the team now found itself stranded on the planet with no means of contacting the Sojourner for assistance. What was worse, the locals led them into a temple that seems to have been built in honor of of them. In the basement Foxwell and Li Celes were shown a set of murals on the walls depicting the away team and the events that had happened to them thus far. Further down in the temple they discover a bright white energy source.

An attack by an alien race intent to wipe out the away team provided an opportunity for Foxwell, Tenricoun, and Morgan to commandeer the enemy aliens' craft and return to the Sojourner just as a large energy explosion erupted from the planet's surface. Upon reaching the Sojourner, Andrew reunited with April and the two realized their feelings for one another.

At a private dinner, Andrew unexpectedly found himself proposing to April only to have her say yes. It was one of the happiest days of his life.
