Personality & Traits

General Overview Jordan has a strong sense of family and loyalty in both his family unit and company. He still remains in touch with several of his Graduation class from Starfleet Academy and Marine Corp Training. While he is closer to some then others, he wouldn't hesitate to defend any of them in any given situation.

While he isn't the tallest of men, he's certainly one of the grittiest when it comes to a fight - fist fight or phaser. Jordan has never been known to back down, until the last order is given.

A strong sense of what's right, which he will fight to the end to protect. However, such blind loyalty could lead him astray if someone was able to fool him into what was the 'right' thing to do.
Strengths & Weaknesses A strange mixture of over confidence from his up bringing in a Military background, and a nervousness to not fail, can leave Jordan a little 'on edge' at times. The constant 'on edge' stat can sometimes leave him feeling drained and exhausted. At times he'll start to second guess himself and his career.
Ambitions Jordan wishes to work his way through the ranks of the Marines and serve along side some of the heroes that his Father told him about when he was younger. Ultimately, he'd like to serve in an Epic Battle.
Hobbies & Interests Crisp often runs old War Holonovels from various battles across time and the galaxy; ranging from the Trench fights of Earth's World War I & II, to Mars' civil war conflicts, as well as Klingon battles.

A various range of Earth based sports take up the rest of Crisp's free time, ranging from American Football, Ice Hockey and a Starfleet Academy favorite - Amateur Wrestling. Crisp's small stature is often deceiving in the high contact sports he plays, and often surprises the opposition with his determination and raw will to win.

Personal History The Crisp family have a long tradition with Mars, with many of the Family Historians claiming that they can trace the line back to the Mars Terraformers. While this claim is impressive, it hasn't been confirmed as truth. What is true about the Crisps is that they've been involved in major conflicts as far back as Old Earth wars - although no one in the family is currently aware of such a claim.

Jordan was raised on Mars with his Father, Mother and his younger Sister. His Father, a long serving Marine based on Mars was widely known across the planet as something of a 'local' hero. His Mother had been a Medical Doctor for Starfleet for many years before she met Jordan's Father, after that she realized she would be better suited applying to become a Marine Medic, under the impression she'd be able to save more lives. Jordan's Sister, Beth, is two years younger then Jordan, but already she's following the path of the Crisp family and is looking to join the Military.

2379-2382 Starfleet Academy

Jordan's Starfleet Academy life started off pretty much as normal, he underwent the basic training, learning the Starfleet and Federation protocols and prime directive. He later branched out and decided to under go Security courses, mixed with Survival Strategies, Early Starfleet History and Tactical Analysis. Early Starfleet History was more a personal choice, as he had always enjoyed the old war stories his Father had told him when he was younger and would often run holodeck novels based on them. Jordan joined Starfleet Academy's wrestling team, as well as their shoot team, while he wasn't a stand out in either team due to his technical ability or size, he was often noted for his pure determination and grit. There is one record of Jordan defeating a Klingon in a wrestling match, however, the story has been blown out of proportion the more its told by his mates around a table with syntahol.

2382-2383 Starfleet Academy - Advanced Marine Training

Upon the completion of Starfleet Academy's standard 4 years of Training, and graduating, Jordan enrolled for a further one year extended program with Starfleet's Marine Corp.

2383-2386 USS Nimitz

Jordan Crisp joined the crew of the Nimitz in 2383 at the rank of Private 1st Class, fresh out of Bootcamp and totally green. He had arrived on board the Nimitz during a brief crew transfer. He wasn't due for active duty for another month, but felt it was worth getting board, knowing the ship, crew and mainly learn the ropes. His decision to join the crew early came back to sting him in the rear...

Ninth Circle of Hell

He woke up alone, in a small cold cave, having only moments earlier been in his bed warm and asleep. The image he could see from outside the cave, across the rolling snow covered land below, quickly woke him up; it was the USS Nimitz beached like a whale on the planet's surface.

Confused as to how he managed to survive the crash unharmed and left in a cave, Private Crisp started to search for other survivors. However, his initial attempt was cut short as daylight faded and darkness took over. He took shelter back in the cave he had woke up in, and started a fire with the few blades of dry tundra that was scattered in the corners.

He woke the next morning the cold morning air biting at his skin, and the fire having died out leaving behind wisps of smoke. It took Crisp an hour to gain full movement of his body, to regain his body warmth, and generally get functioning again, before he set off to navigate the cave network and find any survivors from the crew of the Nimitz. It could have been hours, or just 10 minutes, the caves looked the same, and the coldness made time drag on, before he finally heard the first signs of life - Marines looking for Survivors, just like him. After initial skepticism, Crisp decided to cut his loses and reveal himself to the 'search party', having first thought they could have been an enemy patrol looking for survivors. Either way, he'd hopefully end up somewhere warmer.

Crisp followed PFC José Eduardo Tavares Silva - better known as 'Brick' - back to the 'base' cave. It was on the way back to the base that the pair encountered a creature in the cave networks. It was "about a meter in length, 6 legs with claws on the end of each one that seemed to move with independent purpose and reason. It had dark scales that seemed to shimmer in the light, causing a ripple affect across its body, its color changing seamlessly from dark to light as the scales crossed from the shadows to the sunlight like a Chameleon." - (PFC Crisp's personnel log)

The beast stalked the two Marines before attacking, causing damage to both Crisp and 'Brick', with its claws and teeth. 'Brick' received a deep wound to the top of shoulder, while Crisp had the back of his left leg torn open by the beast. 'Brick' managed to wrestle the beast off Crisp, exposing the beast's underbelly, which allowed for Crisp to plunge a flint of rock into the exposed stomach for the kill. With the aid of 'Brick' Crisp was gingerly carried back to the 'Base' camp.

The pair returned to 'Base' camp where they received medical treatment, with Crisp slipping in and out of concussion. His initial treatment was handled by a makeshift nurse. It wasn't until he met Dr. Nadhir Akhzouri that the treatment turned more... nasty. The two seemingly clashed from the start as their personalities collided. Crisp, a Marine, didn't want to be tied up and doing nothing, while the Medic, Nadhir Akhzouri, insisted he stay put and rest. It was only the constant check up from the Doctor that was starting to annoy him, but also countless people asking about the attack and the beast they saw. Crisp hadn't spoken to anyone in detail about the attack yet, as far as he was concerned he hadn't been 'debriefed', though he did inform the Science Officer.

By the Third Night, Crisp had became increasingly frustrated at being tied down and, against the Doctor's orders, volunteered for an 'away mission' through the cave networks. It was on this mission that Crisp manage to find a holographic wall over that led to a Moon Base that over saw the operations. However, he only managed to find it by falling off balanced through it accidentally, putting an end to his part in the 'Away Mission'.

Friends & Enemies

After the ship was restored to its former self, and all Qaric technology had been removed, the crew set about returning home to Federation Space. Jordan Crisp was issued to Sickbay to restart his rehabilitation on his wounded leg, not that that would manage to keep him one place. Having received an invite to a surprise party for the Admiral, Crisp had already arranged for his 'escape' from Sickbay - a welcome break from his 'Off Duty with Medical Leave' status he had acquired. After a week long of hard rehabilitation with the Vulcan Dr. T'vahr and work from the Nimitz's Medical Department, Crisp's recovery was complete.

After being dismissed from Sickbay Crisp reported to Lt. Foster - their first official meeting since Crisp being assigned to the ship. He was assigned to Fire Team 3 of Blue Squad under Sgt. Stone. He was issued the role of 'Team Trainer' making sure everyone was cross trained and up to scratch with their basics; his main responsibilities being the newly arrived Pvt. Beechams and Pvt. Hall. With the new role came a promotion to Lance Corporal much to Crisp's surprise.

Crisp returned to Sickbay for his final checkup and to be restored to active duty in a 'light role' for 3 months. During the meeting with Dr.Akhzour it was revealed that the Doctor had known all about Crisp's 'escape' to the Admiral's party. With the Doctor dismissing him and declaring him active for Duty, Crisp felt a huge feeling of relief and joy. Though his time with the Doctor was one he had wished would end, he went on to ask for permission to start Medical cross training with his Fire Team.

With first contact with the Vorinn taking place the Marines had been placed on standby. He spent most of the first day back on duty getting to know his Fire Team (Halls & Beechams) sharing Breakfast with them, where it quickly became apparent that his two new Marines were Chalk & Cheese to each other. One was brains the other was brawn - and somewhere in the middle Crisp would fit as a happy medium. The friendship continued to grow between Brick and Crisp with the invitation for his (Brick's) boys against his (Crisp's) in a capture the flag game.

Just as Crisp and his Fire Team were due to start their arranged cross training with medical, a department he wasn't too keen to return to straight away, he was requested to meet with Sgt. Stone - his new squad leader. Thankful for the distraction Crisp and the Fire Team met with Sgt. Stone on deck 12 at the Marine Barracks. It was during the meeting that Stone requested Crisp to describe the action he saw on the Qaric Ice Moon. Sadly for Crisp the meeting with Stone only confirmed Marine's cross training with the Medical department. Not only that, but each Marine was to be scheduled for a full medical examination to confirm their combat worthiness.
